Christie R. Jones (she/her)

Executive Director

Christie R. Jones is the Executive Director of the International Association of Women Judges. A multilingual expert on gender and race equity in human security, Ms. Jones holds masters degrees in Peace and Conflict Resolution and Peace Operations Policy, both from George Mason University, and an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Bennett College. The daughter of an American diplomat, she was raised in Latin America, the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and Western Europe.

Alexandra Jackson

Executive Office Coordinator

Alexandra Jackson is the International Association of Women Judges executive office coordinator. She holds a DESS in Project Management, Business and Social Engineering and is preparing a master's degree in the field. She has a degree in Legal Sciences. She has worked for more than ten years in research on Haitian land laws and has worked on prolonged preventive detention and judicial administration for more than four (4) years. In addition to her passion for evangelization, she is very engaged in the development of her community.

Jane Charles-Voltaire, Esq (she/her)

Director of Programs and Partnerships




Jane Charles-Voltaire, Esq. is the IAWJ Director of Programs. Jane has over ten years of experience in international law and international program management. Jane provides strategic leadership and oversight to IAWJ programs, which support women justice sector actors in advancing human rights initiatives and promoting gender equality within courts around the globe. Jane earned her B.A. in Romance Languages and Literature from Wesleyan University and her J.D. from Temple University.

Audrey Cavaness (she/her)


Programs Officer

Audrey Cavaness is the Programs Officer for the International Association of Women Judges and oversees the IAWJ's programmatic work. She has been working closely with the Botswana Association of Women Judges (BAWJ) and the University of Botswana Law Department (UBLaw) to promote inclusive justice in Botswana, through various training and outreach activities. She holds a master's degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from ISIT Paris.

Anne T. Goldstein

Curriculum and Program Development Director



Anne Tierney Goldstein is a Senior Advisor to the IAWJ. Over many years she has had the honor of working with IAWJ members from all over the world to develop and implement judicial training curricula involving discrimination and gender-based violence, property rights, rights within families, employment discrimination and sexual harassment, sextortion, human trafficking, and the rights of LGBTQI persons. She has taught international women’s human rights law at the graduate and undergraduate level at Georgetown.

Amie Lewis (she/her)

Senior Programs Officer



Amie Lewis is the Senior Program Officer for the Women in Leadership in Law (WILIL) initiative for the International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ). Amie is an experienced project and grant manger with over ten years of experience in the legal sector, training attorneys, judges, and court personnel, focusing on gender equity and civil legal system reform. She has worked in both local and national nonprofits to develop systems, build community partnerships, and implement cutting-edge and practical technology solutions. Amie holds a B.A. in political science from McKendree University and an M.A. in women’s studies from Texas Woman’s University.

Nephtaly Pierre-Louis

Senior Communications and Membership Officer




Nephtaly is the Senior Communications and Membership Officer for IAWJ. Before joining IAWJ as full-time staff, he worked as a Project Outreach Coordinator in a USAID-funded project on Human Trafficking, called BEST, that the association co-implemented in Haiti. Nephtaly has a master's degree in International Relations from Taiwan. He is fluent in Haitian Creole, French, and English. Nephtaly has a passion for human rights advocacy and youth development.

Antonella Cossio (she/her)

Membership Officer

Antonella Cossio is the Membership Officer for the International Association of Women Judges. she maintains membership records, processing new membersmembership renewals and assuring that members are well informed with IAWJ and all its new initiatives. Prior to her role with the IAWJ, Ms. Cossio worked with multiple advocacy groups such as Dreamers of Virginia and United We Dream based in Washington D.C.

Talia Soledad Quiroz (she/her)

Communications Officer

Talia Quiroz is the Communications Officer of the International Association of Women Judges, with years of experience in Social Media Management and Data Analysis. She has a degree in Marketing from the Universidad Privada Boliviana. Ms. Quiroz has experience working with nonprofits outreach and communication. She also has expertise in creative graphic design and the use of multiple Adobe programs. Ms. Quiroz pursues a master's in digital marketing.

Mackenzie DiPersio


WILIL and DRLB Law Student Coordinator


Mackenzie is a 2L student at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University. Prior to attending Law School, Mackenzie served as a Naval Officer in the Royal Canadian Navy where she deployed to 10 countries across North America, Europe, and Africa. After learning about local legal systems while deployed, she was motivated to make a career switch and pursue law. She hopes to make a meaningful contribution to the legal field by increasing access to justice and promoting gender equity in the law

Catherine Spurgeon (She/her/hers)


Membership Coordinator


Catherine is a recent graduate from UC Santa Barbara where she received a BA in Global Studies and French. Currently taking a gap year before pursuing a Master’s in international development with a concentration in human rights, she previously interned at the Paris Human Rights Center (CRDH) and served as a research assistant at UCSB. Her undergraduate accolades include graduating with honors, the French Program Prize for Excellence in Writing, the Distinguished Graduating Senior in French Award, and the Fraternity and Sorority Life Outstanding Senior of the Year Award.

Donnalene Jane Atienza 


Communications Coordinator 


Donnalene Jane Atienza is a licensed lawyer and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Philippines. She recently obtained her degree in Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University for Peace (UN mandated). She attended the Winter Course on International Law at The Hague Academy in Netherlands wherein her team won awards during the Hours of Crisis simulation. During her law school days, she represented her university in debate and moot court competitions both in national and international level. She desires to pursue a career path that would have a significant contribution to make the world a safer place.
